Mauro is an Italian artist who just returned to Japan after completing his appointment at Hang Seng University in Hong Kong. His research focuses on techno-animism, nostalgia, escapism and retro-futurism. He was one of the key figures in founding the Department "New Technologies for the Arts" at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and has been one of the artistic directors of AVGVST studio in Tokyo.
