Artedly Community Guidelines
Artedly is a welcoming, creative community built on mutual respect, curiosity, and care. By attending an Artedly event, participants agree to support a space where everyone can feel safe, included, and able to participate fully.
1. All Are Welcome
We welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, neurodiversities, nationalities, and levels of artistic experience.
English and Japanese are the most common event languages, but everyone is welcome regardless of language fluency.
2. Respect Each Other
Participants are expected to:
- Treat others with dignity, kindness, and fairness
- Offer constructive feedback about artwork, not about individuals
- Ask before photographing, recording, or sharing images of others or their work
- Respect personal space, boundaries, and comfort levels
Not permitted:
- Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or hate speech
- Unwanted physical contact
- Pressuring, targeting, or blaming members who raise concerns or set boundaries
3. Be Creative and Supportive
Artedly encourages shared learning, collaboration, and creative exchange.
- Support one another’s creative growth
- Credit ideas or contributions when referencing others’ work
- Present original personal work honestly
Fully AI-generated artwork should not be presented as original personal creative work.
4. Help Create a Clean and Welcoming Environment
- Help maintain a cooperative and welcoming atmosphere
- Respect venues, shared materials, and equipment
- Leave spaces clean and undamaged
Please do not bring items or engage in behavior that could endanger others or the space.
5. Refrain from Harmful or Disruptive Behaviors
Behavior that may be addressed includes, but is not limited to:
- Persistent negativity, hostility, or dismissiveness
- Repeated disrespect toward members or organizers
- Aggressive communication, pressure, or intimidation
- Disruption of group activities, conversations, or creative exchange
- Patterns of behavior that make others feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, or unable to participate freely
Artedly focuses on patterns and impact, not isolated moments or intent alone.
6. Community Concerns and Consequences
Organizers may intervene when behavior impacts member comfort, participation, trust, or the overall group atmosphere.
Decisions may be informed by:
- Multiple concerns raised by different attendees
- A demonstrated pattern of uncooperative or disruptive behavior
- Situations where a participant’s presence consistently undermines emotional safety or community wellbeing
These actions are taken to protect the community space, not to judge individuals beyond the group context.
Possible responses may include:
- A private conversation or warning
- A request to modify specific behaviors
- Temporary participation boundaries or a pause in attendance
- Discontinuation of future participation
If organizers determine that continued attendance is not aligned with maintaining a healthy, welcoming environment, we ask that this decision be respected.
